Squishing Off: Textured Clit Stimulation

The tail of a colorful fish. A bumpy, glittery egg. The snout of a tyrannosaurus rex. A Christmas tree. What do these things have in common?  In silicone form, they’ve all gotten me off.  Even though these odd-shaped bits of soft silicone weren’t necessarily intended for use as sex toys, “squishing off” has become a welcome and fun addition to my repertoire.

Wait…How Does That Work?

Squishing off is a simple process involving lots of lube and a piece of textured silicone rubbed on/around my clit.  This technique works for me because I don’t need clitoral vibration to have an orgasm.  I’ve gotten off dozens of times by grinding on the textured base of a silicone dildo, or bending a longer dildo against my vulva so the nubby bits rubbed my clit with each stroke.  While it might seem odd, squishing off just takes this concept a step further: textured clit stimulation that isn’t attached to a penetrating dildo.

How It Began

Despite my penchant for texture play, it took the intervention of a creative/devious partner to plant the idea of squishing off in my head.  He had invented a game that could be called “Name That Dildo”.  I was bent over, legs spread, blindfolded.  He would pick a toy from my collection to wield, and I had to guess (without use of eyes or hands, of course) which one it was.  1

Scorch, my inspiration

One of those he happened to grab was Scorch the Hellhound.  Scorch has a nubby textured head, and he decided to teasingly rub it against my clit as the first “clue”.  It was a sensation I wasn’t expecting, the soft, lube-slick bumps gliding over all those sensitive nerve endings, gentler than a finger but firmer than a tongue.  It occurred to me after the fact that I probably could have come from that alone, if my partner wasn’t being an evil bastard 2 and trying to tease me to death.  Thus, the idea of squishing off was born.

I experimented with other textured dildos at first.  The veins on realistic toys like my Tantus Sam.  The coronal ridges on the Mustang and Maverick.  Fantasy toys brought incredible variety to play with: scales, robotic circuitry, plates, piercings as well as sculpted fur and feathers.  Tentacle toys were especially wonderful, those little suckers rubbing and squishing deliciously.

Then one fine day, as I looked at my collection of SFW silicone, inspiration struck.  I’ve got a box full of firmness samples, random squishies sent with dildo orders, decorative pieces and stress relievers.  Most are small and easy to hold, and many have unique textures.  I’d already repurposed one such piece to create the “Mini Jello Wand”.  Sticking a silicone mini-Bundt on the end of the We-Vibe Tango made the pinpoint powerhouse more appealing to my sometimes oversensitive clit.

Testing, testing…

Over the course of a couple of weeks, I proceeded to corrupt a significant portion of my silicone samples and stress relievers.  I started squishing off regularly, for science.  Any silicone with an interesting texture was fair game.  Silliness often ensued, including exclamations of “MASTURBATE!  MASTURBATE!” before rubbing a pleasantly nubby silicone Dalek against my vulva.  Here are a few highlights from my endeavors:

The T-Rex head had a fine, scaly feeling that was a little too subtle, but the ridges on its snout did the trick.

The fluttery Cory fish tail and fins were a tease, like my first boyfriend’s tentative efforts at oral sex.  The octopus eyestalks and cuttlefish ridges were much more effective (all are from Xenova Synthesis, formerly known as Slick’s Dicks).

These eggs from Kudu Voodoo have become favorites now.  Very easy to hold and the bumps on the soft alligator egg feel magnificent.  It’s weirdly closer to an oral sex simulator than powered toys that claim that title, and about a million times more enjoyable than the dreadful Ora 2.

Alien eggs Labiova Majora and Xenova are larger, with ends that are intricately textured.  Labiova Majora can also generate light suction.

Other Pro-Squish Points

Besides the plethora of sensations, squish-off compatible toys are the epitome of discretion.  They are generally non-sexual shapes (Labiova Majora being a notable exception), sold as stress relievers or art.  You can leave one on your nightstand or desk and no one will be the wiser.  They’re also inexpensive, with many available for $20 or less.  Some squishes can be had for as little as $5-10, so experimenting won’t break the bank.

So while it might be unusual, I’ll continue to keep some “stress relievers” at hand in the bedroom.  And I’ll be on the lookout for more textured tidbits to add to my collection!
